ACTIVELY SEARCHING FOR A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN IN THE ALBANY, NY AREA!Job DescriptionAs a Pharmacy Technician, your main responsibilities will include dispensing prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for delivery, and ensuring the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy are met. Additional tasks may involve labeling products, conducting periodic inventory, stocking shelves, and removing out-of-date items. You will be expected to prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, and may also be involved in non-sterile compounding. Effective communication with internal and external customers in a professional manner is required. You may also be responsible for processing returned medications, assisting in training new employees, and performing additional tasks as assigned. This role may also require you to work in the Controlled Drugs room, manage inventory, input patient data and medication orders into a computer system, mix/package IV medications, service medication dispensing machines, and perform other assigned tasks.
