Abstract: An interference detection system in a network determines that an unknown radio frequency (RF) interference source that causes RF interference experienced by a first wireless station is a persistent RF interference source over a plurality of time intervals in a selected time period. A predicted interference source location is identified for each time interval in the selected time period. An aggregated predicted interference source location is calculated based on the identified one or more predicted interference source locations.

Patent No.11988769

Inventor(s): Adeel Ahmad (Richardson, TX), Dan Wang (Allen, TX), Karthik Subburaj (Bangalore, , IN), Sandeep Rao (Bangalore, , IN)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17856109 on 07/01/2022 (690 days app to issue)

Abstract: In accordance with described examples, a method determines if a velocity of an object detected by a radar is greater than a maximum velocity by receiving on a plurality of receivers at least one frame of chirps transmitted by at least two transmitters and reflected off of the object. A velocity induced phase shift ([subscript]d[/subscript]) in a virtual array vector S of signals received by each receiver corresponding to a sequence of chirps (frame) transmitted by each transmitter is estimated. Phases of each element of virtual array vector S are corrected using [subscript]d [/subscript]to generate a corrected virtual array vector S[subscript]c[/subscript]. A first Fourier transform is performed on the corrected virtual array vector S[subscript]c [/subscript]to generate a corrected virtual array spectrum to detect a signature that indicates that the object has an absolute velocity greater than a maximum velocity.

Controlling the number of powered vector lanes via a register field
Patent No.11989072

Inventor(s): Duc Quang Bui (Grand Prairie, TX), Timothy David Anderson (University Park, TX)
Assignee(s): Texas Instruments Incorporated (Dallas, TX)
Law Firm: No Counsel
Application No., Date, Speed: 17838368 on 06/13/2022 (708 days app to issue)

Abstract: The vector data path is divided into smaller vector lanes. A register such as a memory mapped control register stores a vector lane number (VLX) indicating the number of vector lanes to be powered. A decoder converts this VLX into a vector lane control word, each bit controlling the ON of OFF state of the corresponding vector lane. This number of contiguous least significant vector lanes are powered. In the preferred embodiment the stored data VLX indicates that 2[superscript]VLX [/superscript]contiguous least significant vector lanes are to be powered. Thus the number of vector lanes powered is limited to an integral power of 2. This manner of coding produces a very compact controlling bit field while obtaining substantially all the power saving advantage of individually controlling the power of all vector lanes.
